Product brief introduction
The open mixing mill is a type of open, batch-processing equipment used for mixing plastic materials. It consists of two parallel rollers with an adjustable gap between them. Its primary function is to blend and plasticize raw materials uniformly, preparing them as a consistent, molten mixture for feeding into a calender. During rubber mixing, the open mixing mill operates by applying extrusion and shear forces through the counter-rotating rollers. As the rubber is repeatedly kneaded and worked, the process also triggers certain chemical reactions that break down the macromolecular chains within the rubber and plastic. This allows the various components to mix thoroughly and disperse evenly, ultimately achieving the desired level of rubber compounding.
